Back in 2003 a good friend of mine saved this kitten from certain death. We all immediately took a liking to her, and this picture of my beloved wife holding the kitten tenderly holds a special place in my heart.
Taken with a digital camera and some flaws in the background were corrected in Phostoshop. Kitten and hands were not retouched in any way.
And in case you're wondering, that kitten grew into a healthy cat that we often have with us when my friend is overworked. In fact, we call her our part-time cat
