Description

Long story short, back in 2012 a canontard took offense at me liking non-canon ships, to which I replied that, "Fanart does not need to follow canon, otherwise it would be called canonart." and that, "It was all about imaginary characters anyway, so what did it matter?"

BIG, HUGE, FATAL MISTAKE on my part :ohnoes:, for what followed was a long -and rather demeaning- treatise about freedom of expression, ending with how he "had had it with people who looked down on those who followed canon." :(

For the record, I do not look down on people who follow canon, never had, never will.  But I do have a problem with people who think that freedom of expression only applies to opinions they like :rage: and, predictably to anyone who knows me, I responded in my <sarcasm>usual mature and emotionally neutral way</sarcasm>, and the result was the above fanart :giggle:

Predictably the canontard responded by reporting my fanart to the mods, at a time when DA considered being reported cause enough to be judged guilty, sentenced, and executed :dead:.  The fanart was thus taken down and I got a warning, but no chance to argue my case - so unfair... :tears:

Anyway, it's been nearly 4 years and things have changed since then at DA, plus I'd like to think we have all matured -if a little- and gained some measure of wisdom (unlike my D&D Drow Sorceress).  So I am uploading it again for your enjoyment :highfive:

Technically this can work in canon if I got lost in the spirit world for a LONG time.
